MICHAEL LIN (1964, Tokyo) is internationally known for his painted walls and floors that reproduce on a large scale traditional floral motifs inspired by Taiwanese textiles. Lin's installations are environmental and designed for public spaces and exhibition architecture. His works of art are not only decorative. The ornaments of the works have hidden symbolic meanings and sometimes make tough cultural statements. The works also stimulate interaction between people, they become platforms for conversation.
